Help Empower Women Farmers in Ghana to Leave Poverty Behind, For Good.

Join Team Biz Launchers

Over 3.4 million people in Ghana live in extreme poverty, 3.1 of whom live in rural villages. Most families living in the poorest communities rely on farming. Despite working tirelessly to improve yields, they fail to move beyond subsistent farming, struggling to feed their children, especially during the hungry season between harvests.

Opportunity’s Rural Agriculture Finance Program helps women smallholder farmers in northern Ghana become productive, effective, and profitable enterprises that create jobs for neighbours and drive improved food security by:

  • Providing access to inclusive financial products designed to coincide with harvest periods
  • Delivering world-class agronomist training in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and
  • Connecting farmers with markets across the value chain to purchase drought-resistant seeds and fertilizers, and line up aggregators, processors and end buyers.

After program participation, women increased their harvest yields by up to 69% and incomes by 61%.  Team Biz Launchers is thrilled that we have already raised $10,000 to support 10 Ghanaian women and our goal is to raise another $10,000 to support 10 more women through this life-changing program. Join us and help provide lasting change for 10 families in Ghana. We are delighted to share that each donation is leveraged by 10x!
