Why should I donate to Opportunity?

How will my gift be used?

Your donation will be credited to the program/project requested.

Your gift is being accepted with the understanding that when the need for the program/project has been met, the remaining restricted donations will be used where most needed.

Your generous monthly support will be directed where most needed.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Opportunity International Canada is a registered charity in Canada (#87751 6385 RR0001). Donations generate charitable tax receipts in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency guidelines (canada.ca/charities-giving). 

Charitable tax receipts are distributed annually in early February for the previous year. If you have any questions about your gift or require an immediate receipt, please email connect@opportunityinternational.ca.
Is my donation and personal information secure?
Fundraise Up and Stripe processes your donation on behalf of Opportunity International Canada. To protect your credit card information, when used according to manufacturer’s instructions:
  • Encrypts personal and credit card information during all transactions.
  • Sends an automated confirmation email for all transactions.
When making an online donation, your credit card information is not stored and we will not share your personal identity outside of our organization.
