For a child growing up in poverty, access to quality education is a lifeline. Opportunity International Canada is helping scale Education Finance (EduFinance) and Education Quality (EduQuality)—proven global initiatives that strengthen affordable, non-government, schools and help families keep their children learning. In both Uganda and the Dominican Republic, we will reach 79,500 children with increased access, better classrooms, and improved learning outcomes.

EduFinance connects schools to funding for expansion and infrastructure, and school fee loans to help families cover costs of education when incomes are uneven. EduQuality brings evidence-based training to school proprietors, leaders and teachers, improving pedagogy and learner achievement in lasting, measurable ways.
