Bringing a World of Opportunity to 15,000 People Living in Poverty in Nicaragua
Project Timeline:
2025 to 2027
OIC Goal:
$385,000 in 2026
In Nicaragua, while families are battling a perfect storm of economic crisis, rising costs, climate shocks, and inequality, hope is still taking root. Opportunity International Canada (OIC) and long time partner ASODENIC are launching a bold initiative to expand financial inclusion, empower women, and lay the groundwork for long term prosperity. With a strong track record of grassroots development, ASODENIC will provide microloans, financial training, and wraparound support to 3,000 entrepreneurs, impacting 15,000 lives.
This project will immediately equip clients with financial tools and business training to grow small enterprises, create jobs, and stabilise income. In parallel, investments in digitising systems, gender sensitive staff training, and improved customer care will prepare ASODENIC to sustainably scale its impact. As entrepreneurs gain confidence and income, they reinvest in their families and communities, building resilience from the ground up.
With your support, OIC and ASODENIC will not only change the present for thousands of families, but will also help shape a more just and inclusive future for Nicaragua. Together, we can create the conditions for lasting change where it’s needed most.
