Unlocking Opportunity for 15,000 Hondurans Through a New Branch

Project Timeline:
2025 to 2026

OIC Goal:
$367,000

In the underserved region of Patuca, families are striving to rise above poverty while facing the lingering effects of hurricanes, rising costs, and economic exclusion. To meet this need, OIC is partnering with IDH Microfinanciera to launch a new branch that will bring transformative financial services and training to this rural, low-income community.

This new branch will provide 1,000 entrepreneurs living in poverty, and their 4,000 family members, with access to microloans, business development training, and financial inclusion. As businesses grow, an additional 5,000 neighbours will benefit from new jobs and increased local economic activity. Over time, the branch will become self-sustaining, with repaid loans reinvested into new clients.

Your gift will create the infrastructure to deliver lasting impact, hiring and training local staff, launching services, and providing the capital needed to spark thousands of new beginnings. Together, we’ll expand dignity, income, and opportunity in Honduras – one family, one business, one community at a time.
