Feeding Hope: Empowering Women Farmers to Reach 315,000 People

Project Timeline:
2025 to 2029

OIC Goal:
$800,000 (or more in total to unlock $12.5M GAC match)

In Northern Ghana, where over 70 percent of people live in poverty and food insecurity is rampant, women farmers are key to reversing the crisis. CLIMB (Climate Resilient Livelihoods for Women) empowers 14,500 smallholder farmers (70% women) and 500 agri-businesses. Farmers will receive climate smart training, financial access, and market connections to transform farming and fight hunger.

In partnership with Global Affairs Canada and Sinapi Aba, this five-year initiative will increase crop yields, incomes, and job creation while promoting gender equality and household decision making. Farmers gain access to microloans, savings, insurance, and tailored support that builds resilience against climate shocks and market fluctuations.

Your investment in CLIMB will ripple out across five districts, improve nutrition and livelihoods for hundreds of thousands, and ensure that women lead the way toward a more food secure and equitable future for Ghana.
