From Hopelessness to Opportunity: A Pathway for 1,250 People in Colombia
Project Timeline:
2025 to 2027
OIC Goal:
$560,000 over three years
In Colombia, marginalized families, especially women, are sinking deeper into ultra-poverty as food insecurity, inflation, and climate disasters erode hope. Together with AGAPE, OIC is implementing the Pathway to Opportunities graduation program to help 250 women, and their families climb out of ultra poverty and into sustainable, dignified lives.
The program includes life skills coaching, assets to start a grassroots business, technical training, and access to informal financial services. Participants are supported with bimonthly food subsidies so they can focus on learning, saving, and growing small businesses that generate income and stability.
This high-impact, high-support model delivers transformational change, empowering women to build sustainable businesses that lead to improving family health, build confidence, educate their children, and reinvest in their communities. With your help, we can create powerful momentum for 1,250 people and beyond.
