Director of Philanthropy, Alberta

Karl brings a deep commitment to stewardship and philanthropy, with a proven track record of guiding stakeholders toward transformational, legacy-driven giving. His journey began as a Chaplain working with international students at the University of Calgary, where his passion for the nations and service took root. He has since worked with many Alberta-based charities, and extensively with The Mustard Seed and World Vision Canada.

Driven by a calling to alleviate poverty, Karl is dedicated to creating pathways for individuals to rise out of poverty through sustainable solutions. At Opportunity International Canada, he champions a holistic approach that provides financial resources and training to empower people to break the cycle of poverty and build brighter futures for themselves and future generations.

Karl lives in Calgary with his wife, Siobhan, and their four children. Together, they enjoy the outdoors, especially spending family time in the mountains.
