DIANE FERGUSON
VP OF Programs

Diane Ferguson is a professional, working in the non-profit space within the Opportunity International family of partners for 20 years. She focuses on developing and guiding Opportunity International Canada’s Program Strategy and Funding Priorities. She exhibits collaboration across global partners and local staff, communicates transparently with supporters, and is passionate about building a bridge between clients and supporters so that they can experience real, lasting change in their lives.

Diane whole-heartedly believes in the strength and ability of the families reached by Opportunity and the programs that enable them to work their way out of poverty toward lives marked by self-sustainability, resilience, and dignity.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Diane is an avid reader, she enjoys being creative in the garden and home through whimsical decorating, traveling, and most especially spending time with her extended family, all of whom live nearby.

Diane joined the Opportunity International Canada team in 2021 and now serves in the role of VP, Programs. She is eager to continue her legacy of service and servant leadership by monitoring programs, engaging with our partners, and collecting and sharing the incredible impact of our mission through grant writing and donor impact reports.

She resides in the western suburbs of Chicago, surrounded by lots of family, including two grandchildren.
