DAVE EAGLE

Sr. Director, Programs and Business Development

Dave is passionate about making lasting and sustainable positive change in the world. He enjoys working collaboratively with like-minded people who are excited to tackle big challenges of inequality and poverty, especially with access to finance and microfinance solutions. 

Dave’s career in International Development spans more than 10 years and was focused on designing, implementing, and leading a diverse portfolio of economic development programs. He has experience managing projects and leading teams in many developing countries in East Africa, West Africa, and Asia Pacific. The projects have focused on building and strengthening business foundations to improve the well-being and livelihoods of smallholder farmers.

Prior to working in International Development, Dave had over 15 years of private sector experience in financial services and software delivering sales, product marketing, product management, and professional services. Dave earned Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University and Master’s degrees in Engineering & Business Management from University of British Columbia and Peace & Conflict Studies from Conrad Grebel University College (uWaterloo).  He happily lives in Waterloo with his wife, Jennifer, and 3 children.
